MORRIS COUNTY, NEW JERSEY · REAL ESTATE

Morris County is my home base.

I live in East Hanover, so Morris County isn’t just a service area for me. It’s where I shop, where my boys grow up and where I write my “At Home with Holly” column for TAPinto East Hanover & Florham Park.

From historic Morristown to the larger lots in Randolph and the commuter convenience of Parsippany, Morris County offers a lot of choices. I’ll help you find the one that fits.

Where to look in
Morris County.

Every town has its own schools, taxes and personality.
Here’s a quick feel for each one.

East Hanover

My hometown. Quiet, friendly streets, well-kept homes and quick access to Routes 10, 24 and 280.

Florham Park

Small and leafy, with easy highway access and the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in town.

Morristown

The county seat, with the historic Green, restaurants, Revolutionary War history and Midtown Direct trains on the Morris & Essex Line.

Madison

Known as “The Rose City,” with a charming downtown, Drew University and a train station on the Morris & Essex Line.

Parsippany

A practical hub at the meeting of Routes 80, 46 and 287, with a wide range of home styles and prices.

Boonton

A historic Main Street, older homes with character and a station on the Montclair-Boonton Line.

Morris Plains & Randolph

Morris Plains has a train station and walkable pockets, and Randolph offers more space and bigger lots.

Nearby

Also Hanover (Whippany & Cedar Knolls), Montville, Chatham, Denville and Roxbury.

Why a local matters here.

Morris County inventory has been especially tight lately. I wrote about it in my TAPinto column, “Why are so few houses listed for sale?” When good homes are scarce, you need someone who hears about them early and helps you act with confidence.

03 / GOOD QUESTIONSAsk me anything.

Morris County
questions.

Why are there so few houses for sale in Morris County?

Many homeowners locked in very low mortgage rates and don’t want to give them up, and not much new construction is being built. That keeps inventory low even when buyers are ready. I explain more in my TAPinto “Ask Holly” column.

Which Morris County towns are best for commuting to NYC?

Morristown, Madison, Chatham and Morris Plains are on NJ Transit’s Morris & Essex Line, which has Midtown Direct trains to Penn Station. Boonton is on the Montclair-Boonton Line. Drivers often like East Hanover, Florham Park and Parsippany for quick access to Routes 10, 24, 80 and 287.

Do you work with seniors who are downsizing in Morris County?

Yes. I’m a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), and I work patiently with parents and their adult children through downsizing and estate sales.

How are property taxes in Morris County?

Like everywhere in New Jersey, taxes vary by town and by home. I’ll pull the real tax history for any property you’re interested in so you can budget accurately.

Can you help me sell my East Hanover or Florham Park home?

Absolutely, this is my neighborhood. I’ll show you what nearby homes have sold for, help you decide what to fix before listing, and put together a marketing plan.

04 / IT STARTS WITH A CONVERSATIONNo pressure. Just possibilities.
